A Historical Masterpiece
The Donald L. Hollowell Foundation recently announced the reprint of The Sacred Call, a biographical piece depicting the life of Civil Rights Champion Attorney Donald L. Hollowell. The book co-authored by the attorney's wife Louise Hollowell, chronicles the challenges faced by Attorney Hollowell as he faced discrimination early on in life during his tenure in the United States Army, throughout his career as a Civil Rights attorney, and as the Director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The reprint of this book serves as an opportunity for the next generation to witness first hand Attorney Hollowell's commitment to changing race relations and creating opportunities for all minorities in our country. The book chronicles the challenges and strategies around the desegregation of the University of Georgia, Dr. King's incarceration at Reidsville Penitentiary, and so many other civil rights issues. The Donald L. Hollowell Foundation's orchestration in the reprint of the book will certainly provide inspiration and motivation to a generation that may have otherwise missed out. And that would have been an injustice.
