An Evening of Elegance for Hollowell   Atlanta, GA- Landon’s Restaurant and Bar was the location for the Donald L. Hollowell Foundation’s Holiday Celebration themed “ An Evening of Elegance.”  The foundation’s Executive Board wanted a night that allowed sponsors, volunteers, friends and family to join in the season of hope and peace, to fellowship and reflect on this year’s success for the Donald L. Hollowell foundation.  The foundation’s objective is to provide financial assistance to various community organizations that help serve the educational and social needs of youth and seniors across Georgia, benefited from a night where the theme elegance resonated throughout.                                                                                                                      As soon as you walked into Landon’s everything in site followed the theme of elegance.   The holiday-decorations throughout the restaurant resembled a scene captured on a Christmas card.   The beautifully ornamented Christmas tree illuminated the doorway. The staff dressed in black and white greeted each attendee and seated them immediately.  The specially designed menus were bordered in gold and describe each course of the four-course dinner explicitly. The wine selections outlined on the menus made the use of a sommelier unnecessary. The jazz music playing complimented any conversations taking place. However, once the first course was served the attention switched from conversation to consumption.   Each course mirrored an exquisite piece of art rather than a meal that one would devour.  From the first course of creamy corn chowder to the entrée of either chicken, steak or lamb to the dessert of the southern classic Georgia peach cobbler, every course was as scrumptious as the next.      The evening of elegance ended with the board members personally thanking all who were in attendance.  As the photographer captures each guest picture by the Christmas tree as they were leaving, the satisfied looks on their faces said it all. They’ve contributed to a worthy cause and to a worthy establishment all in one night and all in the name of elegance.
